We have a baby and toddler both with eczema and otherwise sensitive skin. I needed a detergent that could clean all our clothes at once as I don't feel like doing kids clothes and parent's clothes separately. After a decision to switch to greener products, I bought this at my local CoOp to give it a trial run. Found it to clean all our clothes as well as any brand of conventional detergent I have used before (i.e. Tide, Kirtland's, and assorted baby detergents). Also, it rinses clean. I was happy to see it on Amazon.

I concur with Zibby1. While the price is higher at amazon buy 2 dollars or so compared to a big box store, the time saved by not having to go get it is worth 500x times the 2 bucks ! So If I order 5 boxes, and it's an extra 10 bucks, big deal. I'de rather spend that time with my kids .

Excellent rice cooker. So far, I've used it for white and brown rice with and without the automatic timer and it works great. I'll use it for shushi next week. With the automatic timer feature you set up the machine and then tell the rice cooker the time of day when you want your rice to be ready. After that time it switches automatically into 'keep warm' mode so your rice is ready to eat in case you're delayed. This is one of the main reasons I bought this specific model.

I've had this rice cooker for 9 years now and have used it at least weekly for that long. I also will leave it on for days with the rice warming. It's durable, dependable. I have also cooked other things in it- leave wild rice in for at least 30 mins after the warming light is on- also have cooked wheatberries and quinoa without any problems. Very easy. Gets a little gummy with the steam drain, but that happens on all of them. Very easy to clean. After 9 years, the inside pot is a little scratched, but rice doesn't stick- I have to say on occasion I used metal utensils and this is where the scratches came from.

I bought this model to replace my $12 reject rice cooker. Clearly, a hundred bucks does make a bit of a difference, the most obvious and pleasing of which is the thick, non-stick cooking vessel. No more soaking with soap and attacking the pan with a scouring pad after every batch of rice. Being an electronic rice cooker, the other noteworthy advantages over its cheapo predecessor are the timer function and truly hands-off operation, which translates into more food being prepared at home. If it costs $8-10 to buy a modest lunch, and perhaps a dollar or so to prepare one in the cooker (which is likely more nutritious anyway,) the savings quickly add up. Using a device like this to prepare meals really saves time.

This is a special type of brown rice that adds pizazz to any meal. It's almost as special as wild rice: dark, very aromatic and has a dense, crunchy texture. Use about 2 cups water for each cup of rinsed dry rice (you can add a bit of butter for true luxury). Cook over a low flame; it may take a bit longer, but it's worth it. I don't use salt because I find the flavor satisfactory without it. If you find the rice is too crunchy for your taste, you can add a bit more water at the end of the cooking and heat gently.

As someone who has always loved pasta, living gluten free for the past year has been extremely frustrating. I've tried countless types of pasta, including corn pasta, rice pasta and an interesting corn/navy bean blend pasta and the Tikyada Brown Rice pastas (NOTE: I particularly like the ones with rice bran - it's noted on the label) have been the best that I've had. I actually served it to someone the other day who doesn't live GF and he didn't notice a difference between that and regular pasta. I do, however, find that I don't need to cook it as long as it says on the package. I shorten the cooking time by about 2-4 minutes usually and just keep checking to see when it is done. They go very well with GF vodka sauce. Enjoy!

But Texmati has all the fragrance of basmati rice, the fiber of brown rice and it comes in a wonderful clear square plastic jar that is great for filling with beans or popcorn when it is empty. This rice smells like pecans when cooking and tastes great. You can cook it up as pilaf with raisins, almonds and chicken or vegetable broth for a delicious side dish. Seventh Generation makes a fine brand of bath tissue--even if it's not exactly Charmin soft. I prefer the texture of Scott bath tissue so for me this product was not a huge difference. I enjoyed knowing that I was helping to keep our planet "green" when choosing this bath tissue.

This bath tissue is made of completely recycled paper--80% of which is post consumer material! Great! All this DOES reduce pollution, just as they advertise on the wrapping of the roll of toilet paper. The wrapping is great and the bath tissue is whitened without using bleach. I am very impressed. Predictably, this bath tissue is not just kinder to Mother Nature; it's easier on those of us who are sensitive to scents. It is hypoallergenic; and it is perfectly safe for toilet and septic systems just as Amazon notes above. Of course, there's always a limit to how much paper will go in one single flush down the toilet; but most people have an intuitive sense about this so it shouldn't be a problem.

I have been using this product for about a month now and I am very satisfied. We live in a very humid climate so musty/moldy smelling clothing is a problem. We were using the Ecos brand detergent prior to this one and the clothing would be clean, but if it sat in the washer for a couple hours after the wash cycle, the musty smell would be very strong. Not so with this biokleen product. Even if the laundry sits in the washer after the cycle, it comes out with no scent. Kudos to biokleen for creating this fabulous product!

I got my shipment yesterday without the slightest leak. They did just what one reviewer suggested--they put a piece of cardboard in such that it held the lids shut. I have had a terrible time trying to find a truly fragrance free dish soap. Most have, at the very least, masking fragrances. This soap is utterly fragrance free, which is important to me as I am chemically sensitive. It is a marvel, particularly when compared to other 'sensitive' dish soaps, which aren't effective and produce little or no sudsing action. This soap is sudsy and very effective at cleaning dishes. I have not been able to use Dawn and other commercial dish soaps that claim to cut grease so I really cannot make that comparison. But when put head-to-head against other 'sensitive' dish soaps, Seventh Generation is the clear winner (not to mention competitively priced).

I'm always amazed to see this product still being sold at local Chinese supermarkets and here on Amazon. I've used mine for over 15 years now and quite regularly in the past 5 years. I don't see the non-stick stuff coming off the cook bowl but over time, there will be some small particles of rice stuck on quite permanently. I don't scrub because it is a non-stick surface. I've seen this happen with other rice cookers so I'm not sure you can get around this by just purchasing another brand. You're probably better off buying a softer wood paddle for cheap available at most Chinese/Japanese markets. My dad just sanded off the rough edges of the plastic paddle that came with my cooker. I haven't replaced my rice bowl yet as it still releases rice just fine. Unfortunately, the price is also unmoved after all these years.

Tiger is known for great rice cookers. Usually their models are made in Japan, but this model is made in China and the price is low because of it. It cooks rice like any other rice cooker of Tiger's and I have had no problems with it. While its not fuzzy, this is a decent rice cooker, and the latest Tiger model.

I work for a Japanese owned company, so I did a little survey prior to purchasing a rice cooker. Of the many Japanese nationals working in my office the majority said that Sanyo was the preferred rice cooker for their families. We are a three-person East Asian household: My mother and I are Japanese, and my other half is Korean. Needless to say, we use this rice cooker at least five times a week, and have had it for about a year.

We've decided that eating brown rice instead of white rice about twice a week would be a healthy choice. The pressure cooker feature makes delicious brown rice (we use 2.5 cups regular Japonica brown rice mixed with 1.5 cups of sweet "mochi" brown rice nowadays). For the remainder of the week, we cook white rice, and it does a beautiful job. Once in a while, we make porridge -- the traditional Japanese remedy for when someone is sick -- which can be made excellently by this rice cooker. In that sense, we like all the features that this rice cooker offers, and it is really easy to operate.

I believe the titanium-coated thick inner pot is key to making this such a strong product; it seems to distribute heat evenly inside the pot. So, the problems that one might experience with cheaper or older pots -- like the bottom being slightly burnt ("okoge" in Japanese) -- or areas near the top being slightly undercooked -- does not happen. Rice from every part of the pot -- top, bottom, side and middle -- is cooked perfectly.

This cooker replaced the National fuzzy logic that I had used at least 3-4 times a week for 5 years. With all the new rice cookers on the market it was hard to find one that had the features that I wanted, without a bunch that I didn't need. I really don't need to bake a cake in my rice cooker!! What I use the most are the slow cooker options and the rice options. I mostly make short grain brown rice and this model cooks it much faster than my old National. I also loved that this cooker came with an extra pan and lid for the slow cooker...which makes it a great value.

If it is important for you to know the length of the cook cycles, I suggest that you time them the first time you use them because the instruction booklet does not give the times for the cycles. My old National would show the length of the cycle when you started each cycle, i.e. when using the regular cycle it would show 43 minutes on the clock. This cooker only shows the time left when it gets down around 15 minutes. The brown rice cycle cooks in 75 minutes. I cooked quinoa on the quick cycle the other day and it was done in approximately 30 minutes.

Another option I like on this model compared to the National is that, so far, the lid is easier to clean. The national used to bubble up through the steam vent and make a mess that was not easy to clean from the rubber gasket, but the Sanyo doesn't do that and the lid barely needs to be washed after cooking a batch of rice. I wish these types of cookers would make removable upper lids so that they could be kept cleaner.

I also love that this model has the slow cooker and that there is both high and low slow cook cycles.

This cooker is just right for a small family or couple, but if you generally cook for more than 3 people, I would recommend the larger model. I can make enough soup for 4 people if bread and salad were served, but it may only serve several people if they had large appetites. It definitely does not have enough room in the slow cooker to do large roasts.

Great value, great cooker, I highly recommend it.

This is a very nice rice cooker and an excellent value. Unlike other rice cookers in the same price range, this cooker does as well with jasmine, calrose, basmati and brown rice as it does with white rice. No one likes mushy or crunchy rice, especially Kitchen Monkey Boy. Not a problem with this cooker.
It's definitely not the same quality as the high end cookers, but hey, you didn't pay $200 for it either. Shut up and eat your nummy rice!

I was kind of skeptical in ordering this rice cooker because I have had a National Brand Rice Cooker for over 20+ years and it finally gave out. When I researched that Panasonic had bought out National, I thought that I would give it a try and I'm glad that I did. It cooks the rice perfectly and I like that it keeps the rice warm for up to 12 hours. It is very easy to use and cleaning is a breeze. This is the best purchase that I have made all year.
