Store Grocery - Tasty Bite Entree, Vegetable Supreme & Basmati Rice, 12-Ounce Boxes (Pack of 6)

This stuff is just yummy and will melt in your mouth. Good amount of vegetables but still the serving size feels like only 3/4th. You can't open 2 pouches as it will make you too full. Tasty Bite should make the serving size a little more. I hope the nutrition facts are fully true as presented... I got a feeling it had lot more butter or cream to only have 1 gm saturated fat.

Lundberg Wehani, A Gourmet Aromatic Whole Grain Brown Rice, 16-Ounce Bags (Pack of 6)

This is a special type of brown rice that adds pizazz to any meal. It's almost as special as wild rice: dark, very aromatic and has a dense, crunchy texture. Use about 2 cups water for each cup of rinsed dry rice (you can add a bit of butter for true luxury). Cook over a low flame; it may take a bit longer, but it's worth it. I don't use salt because I find the flavor satisfactory without it. If you find the rice is too crunchy for your taste, you can add a bit more water at the end of the cooking and heat gently.

Tinkyada Brown Rice Spirals with Rice Bran, Gluten Free, 16-Ounce Packages (Pack of 12)

As someone who has always loved pasta, living gluten free for the past year has been extremely frustrating. I've tried countless types of pasta, including corn pasta, rice pasta and an interesting corn/navy bean blend pasta and the Tikyada Brown Rice pastas (NOTE: I particularly like the ones with rice bran - it's noted on the label) have been the best that I've had. I actually served it to someone the other day who doesn't live GF and he didn't notice a difference between that and regular pasta. I do, however, find that I don't need to cook it as long as it says on the package. I shorten the cooking time by about 2-4 minutes usually and just keep checking to see when it is done. They go very well with GF vodka sauce. Enjoy!

RiceSelect Organic Texmati Brown Rice, 36-Ounce Jars (Pack of 4)

Brown rice can be, well, heavy. But Texmati has all the fragrance of basmati rice, the fiber of brown rice and it comes in a wonderful clear square plastic jar that is great for filling with beans or popcorn when it is empty. This rice smells like pecans when cooking and tastes great. You can cook it up as pilaf with raisins, almonds and chicken or vegetable broth for a delicious side dish. Try it also by browning it in olive oil with a half cup of orzo per cup of rice and then make pilaf with broth. It is delicious.
